this is the 3rd & last
time that I will post for
Mr. Joseph Pearce.
This is merely a (hopefully
not overly-obnoxious way)
to obtain a link to The Saint
Austin Review...
I had a perfectly good one.
But the day after I displayed
the banner below, it went
*poof!*
Now, I am not going to conti-
nue the campaign forever-
No [crickets], I just can't do it!
So...
Listed below will be *links to
some of the fine books written
by Mr. Pearce- (most of which
my mom has read)...
(Hope this blog post doesn't
boggle "Giggle!":)
1. "Literary Giants, Literary
Catholics," by Joseph Pearce.
2. "Flowers of Heaven," by
3. "Old Thunder," by
they're not all working...
LOL!!!
But they shall remain:)

Found a new link to StAR
magazine, [crickets], through
Sapientia Press...
This will (hopefully!) be
linkable & work!
At least on the link to the
right. Have to figure out
how to reactivate the banner...
Maybe I should page
Joseph Pearce...
Update: Got it to work!
Also posted a banner to
the American Chesterton
Society...
But [crickets], I am going to
need your help.
Please let me know if the
banners are centered correctly-
they are on my blog, but as I'm
not an expert, I'm not sure they
are correct.
Thanks!

Well, [crickets], I know that
I don't have to tell you how
happy it makes me to have
been able to figure out how
to link to different places of
wonder.
But somehow I messed up my
link completely, to the wonder-
ful Saint Austin Review, also
known as StAR magazine.
I've had it linked to the right for
weeks, and it worked just fine.
Then I attempted to display their
banner, but may have messed up
the link entirely... for some reason
both of them are not working.
They were both fine...
at first.
Now they lead to nowhere.
And although the banner is
centered on my blog, I have
been told it is askew on other
blogs...
Am going to wait & see if it
starts working again soon-
I hope so!
Keep your fingers X'd,
[crickets]!

Do all the different versions
of the Bible contain the part
where Jesus said that no one
knows when the end of the
world is going to happen?
What about the parts that warn
of false prophet$ & false idol$?
Were they removed too?
If not, and these sections haven't
been excised or condensed for
convenience sake-(or merely
overlooked & ignored), then how
do the authors who rake in the
dough with their vastly different
interpretations & works of fiction
get away with it?
Are they satisfied with the
fact that they have convinced
some people not to go to church,
but sit around waiting to be
"raptured?"
While continuing to buy their books,
of course!
$$$Anybody know why?$$$

(GKC & friend:)
Was at the local library
looking up GK Chesterton in
the New Book of Knowledge
encyclopedia.
Had to check the index, as
he wasn't in volume "C"...
Found him listed under the
letter "E"- for "English authors."
He got two whole sentences.
The World Book, on the other
hand, had him in volume "C"-
he got a whole paragraph.
Whew!

One of my all time favorite
poems is about a misbehaving
tree.
It's called The Laughing Willow,
by Ernestine Cobern Beyer.
The only copy I ever saw
was from a May 1970 issue of
Jack & Jill Magazine.
Going to go look it up...
(Later that week)...
Well, can't find it online-
I do have a copy of it.
Can we print a poem if we
credit the actual author, or
does the copyright belong to
the publisher?

Was disappointed with the
cappucino these past couple
of Thursdays...
And I count on them to get
me through choir practice.
We all have our ways of
trying to stay awake-
We love practice, (and each
other:) but we're all up early
for the most part- being out
late-ish is not what we're
used to.
So I accidentally found a
drink loaded with caffeine
that I like, other than coffee.
Youngest likes soda ('pop' for
those of you in the rest of
the country:)
She tried one she didn't like,
and gave it to me.
YUM!!!
I don't even like soda really.
It's like a melted-down
carbonated lollipop...
But I do like Dr. Pepper
sometimes.
And this was kind of a
cherry-flavored drink...
Code Red Mountain Dew.
I have a new favorite.
