De-Bunking

the DUH-Vinci craze,
(my apologies to
Leonardo)

For anyone who
does plan to see the
movie, remember...

Among other things,
there are no monks
in Opus Dei.

I haven't actually
read the book, but
apparently, it's a
comedy. (That 'hid-
den letter' thing is a
riot- what a stretch!)

Anyone interested in
learning about the real
Opus Dei, click on the
link to the right.

Or check out one of
these books at your
local library.

It's a novel... far from a comedy. It's very interesting and probably will make a very good movie. You should read the book.

Thanks for writing, Arod.

This book takes a real Person, who many millions of people believe is God, & makes a mockery of His life.

Would it make sense to do that to George Washington? Or any other historical figure?

Many years ago I stopped reading books that are disrespectful to Him- I made light of this particular novel, but will say that even if it was about George Washington, from what I've heard it has too many farfetched details to be plausible.

Unfortunately, it is disrespectful to God-

& I pray He has a sense of humor about these things...

I think this novel has Christ saying,

"Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

Nice poem. Too many people mistake The DaVinci Code for fact. However, its popularity presents a great opportunity for evangelization. We should follow the example of Opus Dei and "turn the lemon into lemonade." God bless.

Thanks for the link, Tom.

Although I am still sorry that it is so offensive to Him- you're right- this does present the opportunity to discuss the truth about Christ's life.

Will keep praying- as there is hope for everyone!
