A must-read review

on Flight 93 over at
The Coalition of
the Swilling,
and

Thanks for the link!

Gosh, it was tough sitting in that theater, seeing the towers again. I was sobbing before the movie started.

You're welcome, Mr. B.

I haven't seen it yet- & I'm not sure if the kids want to go, so I might wait until it's on dvd...

& I'm very sorry it's under these circumstances, but thank you for stopping by!

Aw heck, it's always a pleasure to stop by! I don't get around to the blogs of nice folks anywhere near as much as I should.

It's really not a movie for kids (I say that in general, not knowing how old yours are). There's no way our 12 year old is going to see it for several years. Not that there's any sex (at all, obviously, and TBTG) or violence beyond or even approaching what she'd see in any PG-13 movie. No, the reason we won't let her see it is a purely selfish one on our part: we don't want her to develop any fear of flying.

If it were up to me, the news, be it in print or broadcast live, would have to get the Swilling's approval before going national:) This way we get the truth, & nothing but- & cry laughing on top of it!

We had two teens only for a short period of time, youngest being a little older than your tween.

Oldest is more like my husband & unafraid- that hasn't changed. Youngest is more like me- the thought of flying has never been appealing, although being so young that could change.

They have both seen movies featuring historical atrocities from the past, that accurately depict man's inhumanity to man- & they watch the news- but this true nightmare affected people we know.

You are very thoughtful & wise parents, Mr. B...

God bless you!
