Hi Ronnie!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I do enjoy yours, also:)

The Happiest New Year to you, too!

About the aggravation we're all having at trying to get our comments to post: For whatever quirky reason, if I try to publish a comment directly, it doesn't usually show up. But if I preview my comment and then preview it A SECOND TIME before I try to publish it, it'll show up most of the time. It's still not 100%, but my frustration level has decreased since I started previewing my comments. For those I still can't get to post, oh well. I'll have to offer 'em up.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Terry and the cats, Agnes and Xena-Celine!

Okay, from what screwball movie is this line from:
"I carried Cala Lilies on my my wedding day and I'll carry them again today." or something like that.
Who said it?
What movie?

Katharine Hepburn in Stage Door!!!!!

I LOVE that movie!!!

Thanks Ronnie - excuse me for being so rude...

The comment box wouldn't even let me comment! Maybe it's my quirky computer...

Right on one count - but I'm pretty sure it was "Philadelphia Story" - I could be wrong though. For sure it was Kate Hepburn - my favorite actress among many.

rhapsody said...

Uh-oh!

Well, I'm pretty sure it was Stage Door - I think Eve Arden & Lucille Ball were in it too... & Ginger Rogers.

Did you ever see 'The Major & the Minor' with Ray Milland & Ginger Rogers? or 'Mr. Peabody & the Mermaid' with William Powell & Ann Blyth?

Calla lilies first became popular
in the U.S. (for weddings) when Katherine Hepburn recited the
famous line, "The Calla lilies are in bloom again.
Such a strange flower - suitable to any occasion.
I carried them on my wedding day, and now I
place them here in memory of something that
has died." in the film Stage Door.

You are correct! I even got the quote wrong. I'll never question you again!

I'm turning in!

Happy New Year! :)

I think I'm having a deja vu here... or maybe I'm drunk? But happy New Year again! LOL!

Happy New Year!

May the New Year grant you
the eye of a blacksmith on a nail
the good humor of a girl at a dance
the strong hand of a priest on his parish.

rhapsody said...

Yep Terry - it's deja vu all over again! :) I reposted the print from last year & changed the text, but left the comments - I didn't realize they were there!

Thanks for the NY blessings Nick - they're much appreciated!

& lotsa NY's hugs to you both!
