from Carl Olson
@ Insight Scoop...
an interview with Father
Joseph Fessio from PBS's
"Newshour."
Here's hoping it leads to the
understanding that we all CAN
overcome our sinful natures with
God's grace, but that NO SIN will
EVER receive a 'stamp-of-approval'
from the Vatican!
Amen!!!

Sad news...
Just received a call from
youngest's school principal.
The kid's favorite social
studies teacher was killed
Wednesday night in a car
accident- they wanted to
let her students know.
In her thirties- & she has a
two-year old.
That was the last period
youngest had before the
school nurse called me-
The kids are shocked.
Please, prayers for all.

Saw "HP" this pm
*it was ok...
He's a nice kid.
Not enough AR, though.
He only had a couple of
lines in the entire movie.
Is he ok?
(Loved him in "Quigley":)
If there was more of him in
the movie, I might have liked
it better.
Otherwise, it's just too many
school assemblies for me.
*Youngest disagrees with me,
& liked the movie a lot. But, in
general, I'm not crazy about a
lot of special effects, & I don't
care for competitive sports.
& there's an abundance of both
in this movie.

But I think I've got

Anybody want to play

FYI- It's an email game-
they do take a while to
play, but they're fun!
*O< hey Melodybleu

Wanna play scrabble?
You too, Dr. Thursday...
(Only you can't use a diction-
ary 'cause you know enough
words!)
How 'bout you, Mrs. Brown?

to be me whistling!

Excuse me,
but I didn't leave a clue!
The answer to 'Car Quest #1'
provides one...
If the character from 'CQ1'
actually needed a vehicle to
get around in, the answer
to 'CQ2' would be the perfect
match :)

The Building Blocks
Posted by rhapsody at 4:32 PM 2 comments
Dear Mr. Rock Star
I wanted to write and let
you know that I have been
a fan of yours for many years...
(decades, actually.) Purchased
a CD of your greatest hits, which
unbeknownst to me turned out
to be live music from one of
your concerts.
Now, the music is excellent,
as usual. You are an amazing
singer, but I do have a request.
As this is a live album, I have
found that I have to periodi-
cally adjust the volume due to
some of the language that you
use between songs. I really
don't want the kids to hear
that kind of language- I think
you understand.
I was wondering, as you are
now a grandpa, (although I
understand that you can still do
back flips!) if you could please,
please, PLEASE! abstain from
using such language in the
future. To help you to remem-
ber this request, I am enclosing
a soap-on-a-rope microphone...
The next time you want to
speak that way in public, you
just think about how it might
taste... 'kay?
Thanks for listening!
God bless you!

Am going to start a
new practice of dis-

It may be a previously
posted posting.
This will mostly be for
the benefit of those who
are just happening by.
Hopefully, a blessing for
them!

Have to get
a payment out today
for a book I purchased
yesterday.
Read some reviews
for it over at Amazon-
(won it on ebay for less
than ten $$)...
It sounds interesting, and
although I understand that
it is flawed, it was never
meant to be published.
It's a 1st ed. of Dicken's
The Life of Our Lord.
He wrote it for his children,
so it's easy reading...
(whew!)
Will let you know.

Amy Welborn
posted an interesting
question over at open book,
for those who have worked
for the Catholic Church.
I am only a choir member,
but I would say that people
are pretty much the same
all over- you would expect
that those involved with the
Catholic Church would some-
how be different, but uh-uh...
that is not always the case.
(The twelve apostles were
'ordinary'... to begin with.
And the wisest priest will say,
"Pray for me")...
We would do well to keep
our eyes fixed on Him, &
pray for His flock-
meaning, of course...
each other.

Snow time
Good morning, [crickets,]
Got up too early again this am.
Haven't made the coffee yet,
but thought I'd say hello :)
Well, was talking to my super-
visor yesterday. She's been
enjoying a film fest of DVD's
this past week- a mix of horror
movies & old shows. She had
quite a few Vincent Price movies,
so I recommended Laura, the
classic flick starring Gene Tierney
and Dana Andrews. Am looking
forward to her review.
This got me thinking about a
movie matinee of my own.
Oldest & I have always enjoyed
certain old movies- I could go
for a Vivien Leigh-Laurence
Olivier-Merle Oberon-Joseph
Cotten marathon right about
now. From Fire Over England
to Wuthering Heights to Lydia
to Caesar and Cleopatra.Throw
in The Divorce of Lady X-
(& some Tracy & Hepburn & Grant
for laughs,) and we're all set.
Now, if only it would snow...
