Then again, the greatest of all detectives and the greatest of all detective writers... and in November, which always seems to beg for a Holmes re-reading. Too bad I don't have a fireplace, with a persian slipper full of tobacco...

I must say, I do love Holmes too!

Read a lot of the stories when I was younger- it's a good idea to reread them.

When Dale Ahlquist mentioned on EWTN that Father Brown, who I had never heard of, was a detective, akin to Holmes & Columbo, (who I ALSO love) it was serendipitous!

However, it is oldest's b'day today-
Altho we do share a love for many of the same movies, I'm going to have to wait for a later date to trek with Holmes & Watson :)
