A Catholic convert, baptized on
New Year's Day in 1922.
Died in a gas chamber at
Auschwitz on August 9th in
1942.

mine telling me about her years
ago when we were kids.

fascinating life of this modern

The Catholic Churches
WILL have services
Christmas Day, as
always, for those who
wish to honor & give
thanks to our Lord on His
birthday. WE actually DO
celebrate His birthday.
& contrary to what's been
said in recent days, that
INCLUDES the guy in the
red hat!

Have the same problem
as Melodybleu...
I can't get this song
out of my head...
"re mi do so do mi la so-
so so mi,
so so mi,
fa re..."
It's a nice song, from a good
movie, but once you start
humming it you can't stop!
It reminds me of the time I
was just finishing up reading
'Gone With the Wind.' As I was
reading the last paragraph on
the last page, the theme from
the movie came on the radio...
I had never heard it played on
the radio before, or since.
but I thought it was a pretty
neat coincidence!

Feast of the
This is the day that Catholics
celebrate the day that Mary
was conceived, taught since
the beginning of our Church
was without sin. It is often
confused with the Incarnation-
when Mary was overshadowed
by the Holy Spirit & Christ was
begotten.

FYI
For anyone who is interested-
the inkwell at the very bottom
is linked to the 'pixie-pit-online-
scrabble' game...
Melodybleu & I have been get-
ting the hang of it- unfortuna-
tely when I set it up I picked
the tiny tile version, & I'm more
of a large-type type... LOL! But
it is a lot of fun, & easy to set up
a game- for 2-4 players- or wait
until we're done & join us
for the next one!
ur move, MB :)
Posted by rhapsody at 3:09 PM 2 comments
Basic rules
USE REAL WORDS.
The game provides online
dictionaries.
Don't opt for 'tiny tiles'
unless you have Superman's
eyesight.
No proper names.
You can view the board
between plays- click on
where it says 'take your
turn'- type in your pass-
word- it will tell you that
it is not your turn, but you
can look over the board.
You can sort & shuffle the
letters on your 'tray'- also,
you can rearrange the letters
by clicking on the letter itself-
it will switch places with the
letter next to it.
You have seven days to make
your move- if you don't want
to play, ignore the invite.
Good luck, peoples.
:)

Last Sunday
I was very happy to see the
nuns from HandCrafting Justice
back at our church this year
selling items made by women
from other countries, to help
support their families. I love their
statues, made from volcanic ash-
picked up a rosary bracelet, too.
Was glad to see that they have
a website, which I linked to the
right.

From the newsletter of
Victory for the Nativity Display;
Management Company Backs
Down
ANN ARBOR, MI. –
After being threatened with fines
from their management company
if they did not remove a nativity
scene from their front lawn, the
Samona family of Novi, Michigan,
has been informed that the demand
to remove the nativity has been with-
drawn.
The management company first
informed the Samona family that if
they did not remove the display, they
could be fined up to $100 a week until
the display was removed. Since moving
into their new home three years ago,the
Samona family has displayed a nativity
scene on their front lawn during each
Christmas season. This year, however,
the management company of their sub-
division sent them a letter demanding
that they remove the nativity scene.
In defiance, the Samona family contacted
the Thomas More Law Center, a national
public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor,
Michigan, which agreed to represent the
family at no charge. The Law Center con-
tacted the management company yester-
day on the family’s behalf.
