Six years ago, in October of 2005, I received a comment on a post about my favorite childhood poem, The Laughing Willow, by Ernestine Cobern Beyer. I was thrilled to find that Ernestine's daughter Barbara had written - and so began a friendship that, technically, due to technology, is a reality today.
A Very Happy 90th Birthday, Barbara!!
And please comment (or email) on how your flight went yesterday, when you have the chance...

Hi Rhapsody!
I just found your birthday message and thank you very much for thinking of me. The flight went without a hitch except for two very difficult procedures: getting into the plane and getting out of it. Thirty-five years ago it was easy, but this time I was advised to back down the wing of the plane, all the while clinging to Zeke's hand until a voice said, "Would you mind if I lifted you bodily to the ground?" I said I'd love it. I'll e-mail you some pictures.
Love,
Barbara
