FRAGILE
My gift was delivered at seven
Just as I woke where I lay.
Postmarked explicitly "Heaven,"
My gift was this beautiful day.
One matchless, miraculous morning.
Surrendered in trust to my care,
It came bearing only this warning,
"Fragile. Handle with prayer."

I like that one- a nice little reminder to appreciate each day.
Amen:)

This is so simple..and so beautiful
Thanks Rhapsody
Glad you like it, Melodybleu!
There are two more books in the works that feature ECB's poetry, being compiled by her daughter, Barbara Beyer Malley. I became familiar with her poetry when I was a kid...
& Read Me a Rhyme, Please! which came out last year, is linked over to the right for anyone who is interested:)
