Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" This is a fun quiz I lifted from
It's fairly accurate- I have relatives
who say "pop" - although people from
around here call it "soda"... & as my
mom & dad are from two different
parts of the country, any "accent"
is a blend of both.
Enjoy!

Hey! Happy Thanksgiving Rhapsodic melody of good cheer! I'll take the quiz later.

Hugs, Terry:)
See ya later!
Yeah, I'm Inland North - which means I speak perfect American English!
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKFUL!
Happy Thanksgiving again! :)
Same to you:)
Yay! We had the same results- but one question that my friends & I growing up (& still!) couldn't agree on was missing...
How do you pronounce "Florida oranges"?
I was born in Ohio, and moved to Texas when I was 7. Up north they tell me I sound Southern, around here they tell me I sound like a yankee.
Hi y'all!
Same to you & yours, THS- am thankful to have you keeping me posted on the news around the world- stay warm:)
& am thankful to have a southern friend with a yankee accent who tries to help me understand the other side of the political aisle, when I might not always...
HT & hugs, Thomas:)
