Amazing beauty. Learned on this trip that these colors are always there in the leaves, it's just we don't see them with the green. Once the green drops out, what is left is yellow (one kind of chemical) or red (a combination of sugar and another chemical). Which I thought was cool.
Better half takes care of the leaves, Mrs. Brown, with assistance from youngest- who btw is happy to see the leaves from this tree fall, as now the ground is all covered in "pink"... LOL!!!
